'Lucid Etho-graphies' is an immersive video installation by cloudy.works, selected for the Athens Digital Arts Festival 2023 under the theme The Uncanny. The work explores human presence through digital technology, creating a fragmented and spectral narrative of time and space. The video installation Lucid Etho-graphies was created using detailed LiDAR scanning and point-cloud data to compose its visuals and is presented without any sound.

Lucid Etho-graphies explores human ubiquity through digital forensics, capturing non-place situations in a fragmented yet timeless manner. By embracing transience, the work reflects on the uncanny as a process of awareness, using digital tools to record human presence as timeless reliefs—provoking reflection on our hybrid nature and search for lucidity.
