This project focused on the 3D documentation of a 12th-century monastic church located in the occupied part of Famagusta. The goal was to record its architectural form, historical and cultural value, and current condition.

The 3D documentation helps preserve the memory of the monument, creates a reliable archive for future restoration work, and allows researchers and experts to study the site remotely.

The data was collected on site using Terrestrial Laser Scanning (TLS) technology, which captured the building in high detail, with an accuracy of ±2 mm for important architectural elements.

Deliverables:

  • 3D point cloud in *.e57 and .rcp formats with navigation capability

  • Architectural drawings (plans, elevations, sections) in *.dwg and .pdf

  • Orthophotos of exterior facades and interior decorative elements

  • Photographic documentation showing the current preservation condition
