As part of a broader 3D LiDAR documentation within the walled city of Nicosia, this segment focused on the detailed surveying and processing of key pedestrian streets and public spaces. The documented areas include Ledras, Onasagorou, Nikokleous, Socratous, Lykourgou, Faneromenis, Mouson, Pythonos, Aristotelous, Pasikratous, and segments of Megalou Alexandrou, Arsinoes, Apollon, Marias Synglitikis, Evripidou, Hippokratous, Philokyprou Streets, along with 28th October Square.
Our contribution involved high-resolution terrestrial LiDAR scanning and post-processing to generate a digital archive that supports urban analysis, planning, and heritage preservation efforts in Nicosia’s historic core.
The visuals featured on this page include the processed elevation of the Parthenagogio Faneromenis—one of the most significant architectural landmarks in the survey—alongside other views from key streetscapes in the study area.
Deliverables:
High-precision data collection was carried out using Terrestrial Laser Scanning (TLS), ensuring accurate recording of architectural elements within ±3mm.
Georeferenced 3D point cloud in *.e57 and *.rcp formats, with navigation capability
Orthophotos of external facades within the study area
