This high-accuracy 3D survey focused on the historic centre of Engomi, an area that hosts a diverse mix of traditional, vernacular, and modernist buildings. Through terrestrial LiDAR scanning, we documented the spatial complexity of its streetscapes, built fabric, and open spaces.
The point cloud data was georeferenced to the national coordinate system, allowing for precise alignment with other spatial datasets. Architects used the processed model to extract sections, elevations, and reference measurements, supporting design and planning workflows with reliable as-built data.
Particular attention was given to sites affected by terrain irregularities and drainage issues. The 3D model offered valuable insight into these conditions, helping guide interventions with a clear understanding of topographic and architectural relationships.
