Completed in 2021, this project involved the comprehensive 3D documentation of the Athienou Municipal Market Building, a significant example of Cypriot modernist architecture designed by architect Neoptolemos Michaelides in the 1950s. Once a bustling center of commerce, the building had been abandoned for decades, leading to its inclusion in the index of Cyprus's 100 most important buildings and sites.
Utilizing terrestrial laser scanning (TLS) technology, we captured precise spatial data to create detailed digital models of the building's architecture. These models serve as a critical resource for the ongoing adaptive reuse project, which aims to transform the structure into a multifunctional cultural center.
Deliverables
High-resolution 3D Point Cloud Model (.e57, .rcp formats)
Architectural Drawings (plans, elevations, sections) in .dwg and .pdf formats
Photographic Documentation capturing key structural and material details
